Maria Pagliafora concluded her studies at 20 Years old receiving a Piano Diploma conferred at the Conservatory „San Pietro a Majella“ in Naples, in 2000 she gets a degree in German language at IUO in Naples and the PHD in Italian Studies and German Philology at the Vienna University in 2004.
After the diploma she continues her piano studies extending the solo and chamber music’s repertoire with the pianist Laura De Fusco, Master Evgeny Moguilewsky, Master Alexander Lonquich, Master Antonio Florio and Master Charles Castleman. She wins the first prize at several competitions such as: Cittá di Albenga prize, Rovere d'Oro Prize (Imperia), Ferroni Prize, Durante Prize, Cittá Bianca Prize, AMA Calabria Prize…
She was Accompanist Master at the Verdi Theatre (Pisa) and at the Vienna Conservatory.
She had unanimous consents from the audience and critic, playing in inter-national concerts and festivals like: Wiener Symphoniker Chamber Season at Brahmssaal (Musikverein Vienna), “Bösendorfersaal” in Vienna, Schubert Festival at Steyr Theatre (Lower Austria) accompained by the Beethoven Symphonie Orchestra of Vienna, Teatro Comunale di Viterbo, Dino Ciani Festival (Stresa), Sala Curci (Naples), William Walton Festival (Ischia), Ars Academy Concerts (Rome), Janacek Theatre (Brno, Czech Republic), Conservatorio della Cittá di Lussemburgo, Sale de Fonds (Antwerp), Porgy and Bess (Vienna), Burg Strechau Festival (Styria), Urania Music Walks (Vienna).
In the last 10 years she played at the “Gesellschaft für Musiktheater” of Vienna the entire piano and chamber repertoire of the Italian composer Nelly LiPuma. The “Trio alla maniera classica” (LiPuma/2004) for piano, cello and clarinet is dedicated to Maria Pagliafora.
